Penglins
A snowstorm is coming.
Since you are the only sensible Penglin around
(as signified by your sturdy helmet), you have to try and get the others to safety.
Move with W, A, S, D or arrow keys.
Hold down left mouse button to charge, release to yeet (throw) a fish.
A Penglin will speed up and go towards a fish within range,
so you can coax them to the cave entrance.
If you get too close to a Penglin, it will run away,
but not as fast as it runs towards fish.
This is my first game and I appreciate constructive feedback.
Update March 1st 2024:
Fixed a bunch of bugs:
- Player getting stuck to Penglins
- Only one playable level
- Improved Penglins' fish tracking
Added features:
- Fish now show decay status by turning brown and transparent
- Player can now mve with mouse (hold down right button)
- Changed cursor size and colour to make it more visible
Update January 5th 2025:
- Fixed bug where level 3 concludes right after starting
- Fixed music not looping
- Fixed a bug where Penglins could enter caves from the back
- Added total amount of Penglins to save to the UI
- Added sound effect for throwing fish
- Fixed scaling issue
I consider this as done as it is gonna get, since the main point was to learn the basics of working with Godot and not to make a viable game.
For what it is I think it is pretty okay.
